- A: Court supervision is likely if it has been over a year. Read the ticket carefully to see if you qualify for court supervision by mail.
- Q. I got a speeding ticket a couple of years ago in Illinois but totally forgot about it and I live in Missour.
- A: There are several possible courses of action depending on the impact it is having on your Missouri license, if any. If it is causing an issue, an attorney here in Illinois can likely handle the matter without you returning to Illinois.
- Q. Received a ticket with court date and time on bottom but officer did not mark appearance required or not. Do I go?
- A: You should not have to appear in court if the box for "court appearance required" is not checked (even if there is a court date listed on the ticket). You can contact the Clerk of the Circuit Court to confirm. Regardless, it is likely that the ticket will be dismissed if you appear in court and present proof of the renewed registration, so it may be worthwhile.
