- Q. I worked for a doctor who is quadriplegic. I worked a month for him as his Aide, and he refuse to pay me. What can I do?
- A: You can either talk to him when he is calmer and get your pay, or you bring him to small claim court. The latter cost money.
- Q. Can my apartment change my liability insurance requirements midlease because of company policy changes?
- A: They shouldn't if the lease stipulates the amount without exception. Whether they can do or cannot do such thing depend on the terms of the lease. You should review the lease and ask them for explanation.
- Q. I got an email message from someone I met through Craigslist asking me for money. It seems like blackmail. What do I do?
- A: More information is needed to assess the situation and to advise accordingly.
Did you use their service? Do you have an agreement? What did they say they would do if you do not pay? It needs to be clear whether the conducts actually constitute blackmail.
