Melvin J. Babi serves as the managing partner of Babi Legal Group, P.L.L.C. where he serves as managing partner of Babi Legal Group, P.L.L.C., a respected general practice law firm in Novi, Michigan. In his private practice, Mr. Babi advises consumers and small businesses in areas including bankruptcy, foreclosure defense, debt-resolution, real estate law, business law, corporate law, contract drafting and negotiating and criminal and civil litigation. Mr. Babi has assisted thousands of clients in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases, saving their homes, vehicles and other assets with strategic bankruptcy planning. He has also saved his clients homes by implementing aggressive foreclosure defense tactics, which include the filing of lawsuits and applying for loan modifications.
Melvin J. Babi also provides expert advice to various companies on a broad range of legal, business, and compliance matters. As chief legal officer, Melvin oversees legal issues and best-practices for all departments, including legal drafting and negotiating various commercial agreements including manufacturing, distribution, employment, licensing, joint venture, supply and complex intellectual property agreements. Melvin earned a J.D. from the University of Detroit’s Mercy School of Law. While in law school, he participated in a study abroad program through the University of Baltimore, where he studied European Union law and international business law. Melvin was admitted to the Michigan State Bar in 2007 and the U.S. District Court
