The firm regularly defends Tennessee municipalities, municipal officers, and municipal employees in the practice areas of employment discrimination and retaliation, premises liability, general tort liability, workers’ compensation, wage and hour disputes, police liability, civil rights, land use, zoning and planning, contract disputes, and inverse condemnation.
In addition, Farrar & Bates regularly consults with municipalities regarding the drafting of municipal ordinances and employment issues such as employee rights and the hiring, training, discipline, supervision, and termination of employees.
