Alex Thomason
Experience of a big city law firm, right in your back yard.Alex grew up on his family’s apple farm in Brewster, Washington. He learned every trade required to run a farm, but specialized in being the certified “gopher.” Alex graduated from high school ranked 2nd in the nation and top 25 in the World for his age in downhill ski racing. Alex studied at Jerusalem University in Israel, completed undergraduate studies from Seattle Pacific University, and finished his legal education at Seattle University School of Law where he was the Graduation Speaker. Alex learned trial skills by working as a Prosecutor for King County, and in 2006 he became a member of a large downtown Seattle law firm. Alex has been appointed as Special Counsel to a United States Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee. He has also been repeatedly named a Rising Star with Super Lawyers Magazine and is an AVVO-rated "Superb 10.0" lawyer.” He also worked for Bryant Christie and the US Apple Association in Washington, D.C. But he is also known for appearing on Donald Trump’s television show, the Apprentice, where Alex finished in the final four. Alex is currently founder of Thomason Law & Justice with offices in Brewster and Seattle.

Practice philosophy is directed at uncovering the proper strategic leverage that compels or encourages compliance and resolution. Special Counsel to United States Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee and currently pursuing claims against corporate and individual debtors for fraudulent transfers. Areas of practice generally include commercial, real property, construction, bankruptcy adversary proceedings and contract disputes.

- Prosecuted misdemeanor jury trials, bench trials, and co-chaired felony murder trials; managed cases from arraignment to sentencing, including Superior and District Court motions calendars, bail hearings, felony plea hearings, in-custody motions, and sentencing & arraignment calendars. Assisted in trial and trial prep for re-prosecution of defendants affected by In re Andress, which overturned felony murder convictions predicated on assault. Tracked and located over 175 witnesses in cases up to 30 years old, residing in 18 U.S states & Mexico; directed all out-of-state witness subpoenas. Taught two WSBA accredited CLEs for King County Prosecutors, and wrote guide for prosecutors and paralegals detailing witness tracking and location techniques.
