- Peer Mediation Process allows students to take responsibility for their conflicts and work toward improving empathy and self-awareness. The Program starts by introducing students to the reality that conflict is a natural result of living in a diverse society then teaches students that conflict can be resolved positively, through dialogue, or even avoided all together by employing empathy, or listening skills. As a Specialist, I went to different OKC public schools and taught students from ages 9 – 18 (4th – 12th grade) the stages of mediation.
