Ary Avnet
Avnet Law
After graduating from law school with honors, Mr. Avnet began practicing insurance defense litigation in Hamilton County, Indiana for several years. Next, Mr. Avnet practiced transportation law at the largest transportation law firm in the country, defending trucking companies in large loss negligence and wrongful death suits around the country. Prior to forming Avnet Law, Mr. Avnet returned to Hamilton County to practice personal injury law, family law, and criminal law.
Currently, Mr. Avnet regularly practices trial court litigation in state and federal courts. His practice is devoted to serving clients on a wide variety of legal issues, but concentrates his practice in the areas of personal injury, family law, criminal defense, business litigation, and appellate work.
Mr. Avnet understands that for many clients, their case is their first interaction with the law and the Indiana Courts. Therefore, they are understandably anxious about their case or appearing in Court. Mr. Avnet prides himself in frequent communication with his clients, as well as his quick responsiveness to answer client questions about the status of their case, the law, and court procedure.
Mr. Avnet has seen both sides of many of his practice areas. He has represented individual Plaintiffs in personal injury suits, but he has also represented insurance companies and Fortune 500 Companies as Defendants. Learning to defend cases at the highest levels has given Mr. Avnet the ability to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of his clients’ cases and the intuition to deduce the other side’s likely legal strategies. Mr. Avnet now puts these abilities to use for his clients at Avnet Law.
Mr. Avnet lives in Noblesville, Indiana with his wife and daughter.

- Q. suspended license and a recent new case due to the suspended being pulled over while driving, looking for help
- A: I'd be glad to advise him but i'd recommend you hire an attorney from your county or immediate surrounding county. You did not state in which county this occurred.
- Q. Involved in an accident with concert traffic "cops" who didn't know what they were doing
- A: You are allowed to sue to the state, city, political entity if you have file a tort claims notice. Historically, the state had immunity from being sued for torts, but when Indiana filed the Tort Claims Act, it allowed Indiana and its political entities to be sued for certain things, including negligence. However, if you are found by a jury to be even 1% at fault for the accident, you are barred from recovering. You should consult with an attorney regarding the specific facts of your case.
- Q. Should someone who is sueing, be contacting you. Talking about how much they want.
- A: There is no law prohibiting a person who has not yet sued you from contacting you. Now if they are harassing you that may be another legal issue but there is no prohibition on contact just because suit has been threatened. Even if they do sue you, you can still talk and try to resolve the suit informally. But if you are represented by an attorney, the opposing party's attorney should only contact your attorney.
