Biography

Attorney Negrette represents clients in complex immigration and family law cases. She employs a sharp legal strategy and patiently guides her clients through tough situations with a calm yet tenacious verve.

She is trial-ready, having done the rigorous 7-day Family Law Trial Advocacy Program at the National Institute of Trial Advocacy in Colorado. She has been nominated as a Super Lawyers “Rising Star” for 2019, 2020, and 2021, an honor given to just 2.5% of lawyers in California. She has been quoted in the San Diego Union Tribune and is rated as one of the 10 Best Immigration Lawyers by the AILC.

Attorney Negrette has won many important cases in the past year alone. During the pandemic, she won the approval of an O-1B Visa for a very talented musical performer out of Los Angeles, CA. This was an exceptional win because USCIS was routinely denying performance visas as concert venues were closing and music tours were being cancelled due to government shut down orders.

Attorney Negrette also won a one-day trial on Christmas Eve after her divorce Client waited for over 8 months for his hearing following court closures due to the pandemic. The opposing party and her family member filed two domestic violence restraining orders against him, and they lost. Attorney Negrette examined six witnesses and after closing arguments, the Court ruled in favor of her Client; he is now entitled to attorney’s fees.

31 Questions Answered
Q. can i get my money back? i was pying an immgration lawyer but canceled after paying 6000 what can i do.
A: I recommend reviewing your retainer agreement to see what it says about issuing a refund. I would be cautious with relying on USCIS for information, sometimes their records are not accurate. You should also meet with an attorney to see what other options you have.
Q. Can I travel in & out of the US if I lost my green card, or do I need to replace it first?
A: If you have a two year green card you should apply to remove the conditions on your residence (Form I-751 if you received your green card through your US Spouse) 90 days before the expiration date on the card. Once that application is approved you will receive a 10 year green card.

You should always have a valid card when you try to re-enter the country. You should contact an attorney for help.
Q. I just got married and my wife has been living here since 16. She entered with visitors visa. Any advice?
A: If you are a U.S. citizen you should contact an attorney for help. It is important that the attorney review your wife's immigration and criminal history before any documents are filed. The attorney should also explain the current risks of filing for someone who is undocumented.
