Bradley A. Coxe
Hodges Coxe Potter & Phillips, LLP
In 1991, after earning my political science degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I faced two realizations: 1) starting my own country was financially out of reach, and 2) the incoming freshman basketball class at UNC, coached by Dean Smith, was exceptionally promising. These insights led me to enroll in the UNC School of Law. Three years later, coinciding with a national championship win, I graduated and embarked on my career as a trial lawyer at Anderson, Cox and Ennis, which later became Anderson, Daniel and Coxe.
In 2005, I co-founded Hodges & Coxe P.C. with Wes Hodges, a friend and fellow law school graduate. My legal practice has involved representing both plaintiffs and defendants across various civil litigation areas, including personal injury, medical malpractice, construction disputes, and business and employment disputes.
I am happily married to Julie Hays Coxe, and we are blessed with two children. My community involvement extends to being a member of Winter Park Presbyterian Church, where I have served as a board member and past chairman. Additionally, I have held the position of chairman for the Cape Fear Chapter of the American Red Cross. Currently, I am on the board of The Thalian Association, a non-profit organization committed to enhancing the artistic landscape of the Cape Fear region and recognized as North Carolina’s Official Community Theater.
Besides my board duties at the Thalian Association, I have participated in several of their community theater productions. Despite my active involvement, I faced a significant professional disappointment when I was not cast as Atticus Finch in their production of “To Kill a Mockingbird.”
