9 Questions Answered

Q. If i'm off from 1 job for an injury, can i work second job with injury restrictions
A: There is nothing legally keeping you from working your second job that can be done with restricted or limited duty. But, you should be extremely careful so that you do not aggravate your injury, which the defense will use to argue they should not have to be responsible for treatment after that point. I can't speak to your case specifically without knowing more. I would recommend you hire a Board Certified Personal Injury Trial Lawyer like DC Law to get advice on your case. 512.888.9999.
Q. I bought a car from a used car lot that sales highend cars. I bought a 2008 honda civic. The car had no fuse to the
A: You have a potential claim for your injuries. It will be important to not lose possession or access to the vehicle. If you would like our help, please call our office at 512-888-9999 for guidance.
Q. I am not a lawyer. How/where can I research specific civil case records heard in Harris County, TX District Courts?
A: Harris County has a searchable electronic docket, however, there are only certain ways to search. Go to the court’s website and/or call the clerk and they may be able to help. Good luck.
Q. Why is a a trial date set in a personal injury lawsuit, if they’ve been offered policy limits?
A: If your insurance carrier was presented a "Stowers" demand for an amount within your policy limits and they failed to respond before the deadline, then the claimant can still proceed forward to try to get a verdict in excess of the policy limits. That would be one reason they set a trail date in spite of the carrier now offering policy limits.
Q. My husband and I are looking for a attorney that handles workers comp disability cases. Also someone who handles medical
A: Hello! If you are still needing assistance please call (512) 220-1800 and we would be more than happy to help you out! I hope to hear from you soon!
Q. If I was injured in a hit and run accident, is my only hope for compensation of my medical bills via my own insurance or
A: It would depend on what information is available? Do you have a license plate? A description of the car and driver? Identifying the driver who ran into you would provide you a potential remedy other than your own UM/UIM coverage. If you are significantly injured, you might be able to also pursue the manufacturer of your vehicle if it failed to perform in the collision and such failure resulted in you suffering more severe injuries. If you would like to discuss, you are always welcome to contact my firm, DC Law, at 512-888-9999,
Q. My son was killed by a semitruck driver who was on the job when he ran a stoplight. Do I sue the driver, the truck's
A: Yes, you can sue all three. Often times, when an 18-wheeler is involved, there are different people and/or entities that own the rig, own the trailer, operate the rig, and drive the rig. All of these people/entities are potential defendants depending on the facts. Additionally, depending on the facts of your case, there may be a potential product liability case against the manufacturer of the vehicle your son was in. All of these cases are extremely complex and expensive to prosecute, so it is essential that you contact an experienced personal injury trial lawyer immediately. Sensitive and valuable evidence can be lost if you delay. If you would like our help, feel free to contact us at 512-888-9999,, and We specialize in personal injury and have handled hundreds of 18-wheeler cases. Dan Christensen
Q. If I slipped and fell due to a puddle of water in a grocery store, can the store argue I was partially to blame because
A: I’m so sorry you were injured as a result of someone else’s fault. Premises liability cases (also known as “slip and fall” or “trip and fall” cases) occur too often in Texas grocery stores. The grocery stores and their attorneys may try to allege that you share some fault in the incident (also known as contributory negligence). However, keep in mind that the grocery store and their attorneys will never look out for your best interest. It is in your best interest to hire an experienced personal injury attorney to evaluate your specific case. If you wish to discuss your case with our office, please call me at: 512-220-1800.
