I am an attorney with a focus on intellectual property (IP) and technology. Throughout my career, I have assisted a diverse range of clients including inventors, founders, artists, cultural institutions, multinational corporations, research institutions, and startups. I help them navigate the complexities that emerge at the intersection of the arts, technology, and our legal system. I have guided clients through the entire process of intellectual property matters, from the application and registration of IP rights to their licensing and enforcement. My experience also extends to negotiating a variety of complex commercial agreements related to technology and media.
In addition to my professional practice, I maintain an active pro bono practice, supporting clients through Locust Projects in Miami and Dade Legal Aid.
My career has included associate roles at international law firms in Manhattan and Miami, where I focused on complex mergers and acquisitions, IP transactions, patent and trademark prosecution, intellectual property arbitration, and Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP) processes. I also gained significant experience in patent litigation in federal court, investigations at the International Trade Commission, and representing clients at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) during my tenure at a boutique IP litigation firm. Moreover, I have served as in-house counsel for companies ranging from early-stage startups to publicly traded companies in various sectors including payments, blockchain, virtual reality, and hospitality. In these roles, I provided legal guidance to executive officers, engineers, sales representatives, and other employees. Before attending law school, I worked as a patent broker, IP consultant, and patent examiner for the USPTO.
I am honored to serve as co-chair of the Miami-Dade Bar Association’s intellectual property committee and actively participate in the Florida Bar’s International Law Section.
