Legare, Attwood & Ragan, LLC
I find immense professional satisfaction in advising individuals on career-related decisions. For instance, when an executive is considering a transition between companies and seeks guidance on navigating the departure and hiring processes, I am here to provide advice on managing everything from severance clauses to non-compete agreements, tailoring strategies to suit their unique employment circumstances.
However, not all employment situations are favorable. At times, employees face challenges such as being overlooked for promotions, receiving unequal pay compared to peers, or being terminated for reasons unrelated to performance. Other serious issues include harassment or assault in the workplace.
Moreover, when an employee reports such unlawful employment practices, they risk facing retaliation from their employer. Additionally, when personal circumstances like illness or family needs arise, employers may lose patience, although legal protections are still in place. In these instances, it is crucial for employees to seek legal counsel. Often, pursuing a lawsuit is the most effective way to safeguard their rights, their families, and themselves.
I take immense pride in assisting clients with a range of employment issues and equally pride myself on serving clients across the economic spectrum. I am the granddaughter of two grandfathers who represented both extremes of this spectrum. One was a wealthy business owner who achieved tremendous success through intelligence and hard work. The other was a diligent and smart man who never made more than $5,000 a year working in a cotton mill. I am passionate about providing legal guidance to individuals regardless of their economic status, enjoying the opportunity to assist anyone who needs it.
