Emma Louise Conlin Haw

I was born and raised in the farmlands of the Midwestern United States. I earned an Associate in Science degree from Lincoln Trail College, marking a significant milestone as the first person in my family to obtain a college degree. My educational journey continued at Southern Illinois University, where I achieved both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Organic Chemistry. My legal education began at the University of Houston and concluded at Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis, Indiana, where I graduated with a Juris Doctorate cum laude in 2008.
During my time in law school, I qualified as a mediator in the State of Texas. I also held the position of Executive Articles Editor for the Indiana Health Law Review and worked as a research assistant for two health law professors. Additionally, I gained practical experience through an internship with the Indiana Court of Appeals.
Since 2008, I have been licensed to practice law in Texas and was authorized to practice before the United States Patent & Trademark Office in 2010. I expanded my practice to Florida in 2018 after successfully passing the Florida Bar.
On a personal note, I am married and a mother to three children. Our family also includes a Weimaraner, who brings much joy to our lives.

- Q. i added my son to my home deed about 10 years ago
- A: It depends. If you used an enhanced life estate deed or deed that was otherwise revocable, you may be able to remove him. If you simply signed a deed changing ownership to include him, you need his signature on a new deed to get the property in your name alone. Whatever you do, please hire an attorney to help you. People file things in the deed records with good intentions but without realizing the legal consequences of it and accidentally can create a mess that costs a lot of money to fix.
