Biography

Ernest Saadiq Morris, Esq. is committed to achieving his goal of providing the highest quality legal representation to his clients, regardless of their economic or social standing. Mr. Morris is dedicated to defending the rights of those who have been mistreated or had their rights violated by individuals, corporations, or governments. Ernest Saadiq Morris has extensive successful experience in a wide range of civil rights & liberties, constitutional rights, and other individual rights litigation-- including Free Speech/First Amendment Rights, Police Misconduct, Youth Justice/Education Rights, Disability Rights, Age/Race/Sex Discrimination, Employee Rights litigation, Unfair Business Practices against private corporations and federal, state and local government wrongdoers. Mr. Morris is particularly proud of the so-called "hard" cases that he has taken when others were reluctant because of potential controversy or the power and prestige of the wrongdoer. Ernest Saadiq Morris earned a B.A. degree from the University of Washington in Seattle and graduated from Howard University School of Law in Washington, D.C. While in law school, Mr. Morris clerked at the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund; the National Association of College and University Attorneys (both in Washington D.C.), as well as for the Washington State Attorney General's Office in Seattle. Upon graduation, he clerked for the late Honorable Franklin D. Burgess, U.S. District Judge for the Western District of Washington. In addition to his private practice, Ernest Saadiq Morris is the founding director of the Urban Youth Justice Initiative. He has also worked as an associate of the national class action law firm, Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein, and as staff counsel at the Texas Civil Rights Project
