I would like to share with you what sparked me into a law career and focus on bankruptcy law. During my childhood, our family home burned to the ground. We lost everything except the clothes on our backs. For a few weeks I did not even have an extra set of clothes. We were devastated financially. I felt so powerless and wondered how we would ever emerge from this disaster. It was only through the support of family and friends that we made it through this tough time.
I know what it is like to have to start over with only the clothes on your back. I know what financial hardship does to a family and the havoc that it reeks because I lived it.
These events would play a role in me earning a Law degree from Texas A&M University. I got my first experience there in the school’s law clinic which helped people that could not afford legal representation.
During this time I saw firsthand how the law can help a person to recover and move forward with life. Bankruptcy Law gives someone the ability to start again and reset their financial direction. It is a legal miracle!
