Frank Poe
Representing the Creator Economy
Frank began his career representing celebrities and musicians as a talent agent for a NY talent agency. He then forged a long journey as a litigator for law firms, large and small, representing both plaintiff and defense clients. In 2019, Frank returned to the talent agency world as a General Counsel and Head of Business Affairs. He provided legal guidance through the unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic, and drove the evolution of the new creator economy in the post-pandemic world. He has developed a principled and focused legal approach to the new creator economy, and applies his extensive litigation and transactional backgrounds to this new frontier of dealmaking.
Supporting entertainers and creators has always been in Frank’s blood. His grandfather was a drummer and instrumental music teacher, his mother dances and teaches ballet, his stepfather and siblings have varied music backgrounds, his wife plays multiple instruments, and his toddler son loves to bang on anything he wants to call drums.
Frank enjoys collecting vinyl, going to concerts, and supporting the skate and street art communities that he has loved since childhood. He is an avid movie buff, and is often reading books and magazines about the entertainment industry today. As an older Millennial, he has been active on social media from the earliest phases of AOL chatrooms & Myspace message boards, all the way to engaging the latest platforms growing and evolving today.
Frank received his Juris Doctorate from New York Law School (2011); built experience during internships with a NY talent management company, a top Hollywood talent agency, and a New York Entertainment and IP law firm. Frank received his B.A. in Psychology/Philosophy from Rutgers University (2006).
