Jason M. Massaro is the owner of The Massaro Legal Group in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he focuses his practice primarily in complex business, commercial, contract, and real estate litigation. His experience ranges from counseling individuals as well as businesses of all sizes ranging from small to Fortune 500 companies in a variety of matters including litigation, contract issues, real estate matters, closely-held and minority shareholder disputes, Limited Liability Company (LLC) and partnership disputes, negotiations, corporate and partnership structuring, and corporate compliance. These litigations vary but often involve claims pertaining to trade secret violations, fraud, securities act violations, and fiduciary duty disputes.
Jason has been in practice for over 21 years and is consistently recognized for both his legal ability and ethics. He has earned an AV® Distinguished™ Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell®, is a Super Lawyer Top Rated Business Litigation Lawyer, is a Fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America, and is also listed as one of Indiana's Top Rated Lawyers.
Jason is also active in various Indiana bar associations currently acting as an Executive Committee Member of the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana (DTCI) as well as a current Executive Committee Member for the Litigation Section of the Indiana State Bar Association (ISBA), the Business Law Section of the ISBA, and is the Secretary/Treasurer of the General Practice, Solo and Small Firm Section of the ISBA. Jason has also served as past Chair of the Litigation Section of the ISBA, past Chair of the Business Litigation Section of DTCI, past Chair of the Trial Tactics Section of DTCI, and a Master in the Indianapolis American Inn of Court.
Jason received his B.S, with distinction, in Economics from the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University and his J.D., magna cum laude, from Valparaiso University School of Law.

Jason is dedicated to offering each of his clients unique, methodical, dynamic, innovative, and compelling advocacy. This advocacy is coupled with a broad spectrum of legal knowledge, common sense, compassion, and objective counsel. This legal acumen is always, however, intertwined with the goal of effective dispute resolution either prior to trial, through mediation, arbitration, or through litigation, if other options are not available.

- The Litigation Section brings together attorneys who are primarily interested in trial work and the issues those in the practice of trial law encounter. It has been focusing its attention on these areas: investigation and improvement of the civility of lawyers; review of the Indiana rules of evidence; in conjunction with the ADR section, review and development of ADR goals and processes; helping attorneys more fully understand and improve discovery practices; and increasing the public's understanding of the legal profession and why lawyers do what they do, and the independence and impartiality of the judiciary.

This niche grew into corporate law, partnership law, and Indiana's Uniform Commercial Code.

- After five (5) years of practice with Singleton Crist at the age of 28, the firm asked Jason to become an equity partner, which he accepted. During that time, Jason practiced extensively in the areas of insurance defense and insurance coverage. These cases covered a wide and varied array of legal subject matters and complexities. Jason was recognized as a very capable, honorable, ethical, and prepared attorney willing to go that extra mile for his clients. The thesis utilized economic theory, census data, and statistical methodology to determine a causal connection between several common factors existing in each city and the rate of homelessness therein.
