- Q. I have lived with someone for 25 years, now he wants me out. Am I entitled to anything ? pension etc ?
- A: Division of pension in NY is based upon length of marriage. If you are not married, then you are not entitled to a share of the pension. Likewise you are not entitled to spousal maintenance (alimony). If you live together, then you may have some rights to live there. It is best to speak to an experienced lawyer.
