John Pinto is a founding partner of VSCP LAW and a nationally recognized trial attorney focused on catastrophic injury and medical malpractice litigation. Known for his tenacious advocacy and meticulous case preparation, Mr. Pinto has helped secure over $400 million in verdicts and settlements for injured individuals and families across Pennsylvania.
Mr. Pinto specializes in cases representing the most vulnerable - infants and children who suffered devastating injuries or death due to medical negligence, including errors during labor and delivery, neonatal care, and pediatric malpractice. Since 2015 alone, he has helped achieve more than $150 million in recoveries for children facing lifelong conditions such as cerebral palsy, brain damage, and paralysis.
In addition to his medical malpractice work, Mr. Pinto has successfully litigated a wide array of catastrophic injury cases, including cases involving defective products, premises liability, workplace and construction accidents, tractor-trailer collisions, dram shop liability, and institutional sexual abuse. He is known for leveling the playing field for everyday people against large corporations, insurers, and hospital systems.
Mr. Pinto began his legal career at the international law firm Dechert LLP, where he represented Fortune 500 companies in complex civil litigation. He later shifted his focus exclusively to plaintiffs' work, bringing his elite training to bear in the service of injured clients. In 2021, he co-founded VSCP LAW to continue providing high-caliber legal representation with a personal, mission-driven approach.
In addition to his litigation work, Mr. Pinto is an accomplished legal educator. He was a featured faculty member at the Pennsylvania Association for Justice’s 2022 Medical Malpractice Seminar and has served as a guest lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, where he taught first-year students on the topic of medical malpractice and tort law.
