I have been practicing law since 1998, when I graduated from Cornell Law School.

Q. Was approved for family leave. August 2018 till August 2019. They use roll back method. Went over time by 3 days.
A: I suggest you talk directly with an employment lawyer. I would want to evaluate potential claims of retaliation in violation of the FMLA and to determine whether they gave you proper notice of your rights and obligations under the FMLA. If the leave was for your own medical condition, I also would want to explore a potential disability discrimination and/or failure to accommodate disability claim.
Q. As a Black man, is being called a "Boy" in a confrontational manner considered discrimination?
A: It is impossible to know for sure whether the statement was meant to be discriminatory, especially without any context or other information. However, given the history of the use of that term for African Americans, it very well could be a discriminatory statement. You may want to try to schedule a consultation with an employment lawyer.
Q. What can I do if I was wrongfully terminated from my job?
A: The answer depends on a lot of factors. You should consider meeting with an employment lawyer to discuss your options, including whether you have a potential legal claim.
