Jonathan Yong
Guardian Litigation GroupJonathan Yong has had a very distinguished legal career. Starting his path as a Jurist at Trinity Law School, Jonathan always strived to become the best, and he knew that law school alone would not be enough. Not one to back away from a challenge throughout law school, he competed on the school moot court team and assisted with the publication of “The Laws of Korea”, a textbook recognized by the Ministry of Justice in South Korea which teaches Korean Law for American Jurists. Understanding the importance of the trend towards mediation and arbitration within the United States, Jonathan then shifted his attention to Alternative Dispute Resolution earning a certificate and contributing to an ADR law review article published at Pepperdine Law School. Jonathan started his first law firm right after graduating from Trinity, building a team around him of compassionate and caring people who would obsess on a client-centered business model. That law firm went on to recover a million dollars in the first year of its inception. He then leveraged the firm’s success and expanded to include Personal Injury, Employment, and Estate Planning. Jonathan also concurrently became the youngest law professor in Trinity Law School history, teaching courses on Wills, Trusts, & Estates where his direct teaching style catapulted him into a student favorite. Jonathan also has a passion for public service and has sat on an advisory board to the city of Irvine, and was a director for the Orange County Korean American Bar Association. Jonathan spent the last several years serving as corporate counsel for a financial services firm where he was able to see first-hand the difficulties that consumers across the country are facing. It was this experience that led him to join Guardian Litigation Group and devote more of his time to assisting this vastly underserved community.
