Law Offices of Joseph Justin Rollin
I consult with noncitizens, their families and counsel to determine the best course of action to avoid the serious consequences a criminal history may have on immigration status. My office can either represent noncitizens directly in immigration court and on appeal, or work with already retained immigration counsel.
I also assist criminal counsel to identify safe haven dispositions for those facing criminal charges or seeking post-conviction relief. If post-conviction work in criminal court is necessary, I will work closely with criminal counsel to obtain a satisfactory alternative disposition.
Additionally, I provide a full range of immigration services for noncitizens and their families, including visa applications, adjustment of status, consular processing, relief under the Violence Against Women's Act, naturalization and asylum.

- With with the Law Offices of Norton Tooby, I co-authored several books, including N. Tooby & J. Rollin, Criminal Defense of Immigrants (4th Ed. 2007); N. Tooby & J. Rollin, Aggravated Felonies (2d Ed. 2006); and N. Tooby, J. Rollin & J. Foster, Tooby's Crimes of Moral Turpitude (2008). After five years working with Norton Tooby, I am well-practiced at identifying and making arguments why a criminal conviction should not trigger removal, and establishing eligibility for immigration relief. I can also help counsel identify safe haven dispositions for those facing criminal charges or seeking post-conviction relief.
