- A: DUI laws are can be quite harsh in Tennessee. There is a mandatory 48 hour minimum jail time, but it can be up to 11 months and 29 days. However if your BAC is greater than .20, then there is a 7 consecutive day minimum jail time. Your drivers license will be revoked for 1 year, but the judge may allow a restricted license.
