He has litigated thousands of medical device and pharmaceutical cases across the country and consolidated in state and federal MDL (multi-district litigation) courts. He has similarly litigated class actions and also tried personal injury cases across Maryland. He recently second-chaired a trial where the jury awarded our client over $35 million dollars. He has successfully negotiated several substantial recoveries in personal injury and pharmaceutical/medical device liability tort actions across the country securing over $80,0000,0000 in settlements or verdicts for his clients. He was a leader in the pain pump litigation and is currently heading the firm’s GranuFlo litigation, including leading committees on and working within the Plaintiff’s Steering Committee under JJS partner, Rob Jenner, who is co-lead liaison counsel for the consolidated Massachusetts state court litigation. In and out of the Courtroom, Mr. Browne takes pride in his relationships with clients and referring attorneys, in his dogged discovery and motions practice, and in his aggressive preparation for trial from the start of each case through the use of cutting-edge technology during trial. In dealing with opposing counsel, his reputation is to strenuously advocate for his clients, while maintain professionalism and civility to facilitate a fair outcome in each case and remembering as his mentor taught him that “the world is round.” His tireless work ethic, people-centered approach, and innovative legal acumen arise from his pre-law experiences and New York City roots. Mr. Browne joined the firm after managing a solo practice and working for litigation firms in the Baltimore area. He previously interned with the Honorable Richard D. Bennett of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. He also worked for a non-profit organization while a law student. Prior to law school, Mr. Browne worked in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry. He is licensed to practice in Maryland and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the District of Maryland, Colorado, and the Western District of Wisconsin. He has litigated cases before courts across the country by special admission, including New York, New Jersey, California, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, and Illinois.
