Kate is an Attorney at McClure Law Group. Kate practices exclusively family law, including cases involving premarital and post-marital agreements, divorce, post-divorce modifications, custody disputes, parenting plans, and child support. She is also trained in Collaborative Law.
With a sharp focus on leading her clients to the best possible outcomes, Kate encourages her clients to look forward during an emotionally and financially draining time in their lives. Recently, she negotiated a settlement where a stay-at-home parent of 20+ years was awarded the marital home in spite of a premarital agreement that may have prevented her client from receiving credit for the years that had been dedicated to raising children.
Kate is a great listener. She takes her role as the voice of her clients in the courtroom seriously, and she knows the value of truly taking the time to understand her clients' goals and stories. Kate's clients feel confident in the courtroom that they have an advocate by their side who understands their family dynamic. Kate's genuine passion for child advocacy allows her to protect clients where it matters most — their children. Recently, Kate represented a working dad in a contentious custody dispute. Through her zealous advocacy both in and out of the courtroom, she obtained a primary possession schedule for her client.
Kate attended the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing. She went on to work as a consultant, where she gleaned critical financial knowledge that enables her to aid high-net-worth clients with complex property division. Kate attended law school at Texas Tech University, where she graduated magna cum laude in May 2015. While in law school, Kate balanced her coursework with her service as Editor in Chief of the Administrative Law Journal and as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in foster care.
