Matt created Gruber Law to be a different kind of Estate Planning & Probate firm - we are accessible, clear and committed to achieving long term relationships and outstanding, affordable results. We're ready to help.
Matthew A. Gruber, Esq., founder of Gruber Law, PLLC in Miami, Florida, has dedicated his legal practice to helping individuals and families protect and plan their estates for over 10 years. He is licensed to practice law in Florida and holds a Juris doctorate from Florida International University and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration degree from the University of Miami. Matt began his legal career in the tumultuous environment of the Great Recession. At that time, he joined forces with his late father, Allen H. Gruber, and together they created Gruber & Gruber, PA, a thriving practice that was dedicated to helping clients solve almost any problem that they were facing. This incredible opportunity afforded Matt the ability to gain an unparalleled amount of experience in a short period of time handling civil litigation, family law, criminal law, traffic law, real estate closings, foreclosure litigation, debt defense, credit repair, IRS collection/audit defense, probate, estate planning, business law, personal injury law and administrative law.
After the economy started to rebound, Matt’s father was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Unexplainably, the universe also started to send Matt many terminally ill clients. Matt took this as a sign that his ability to help people during their most difficult time in life was his calling. It was at that time that he founded the estate planning and probate law firm, Gruber Law, PLLC.
Having grown up in Palmetto Bay and graduating from local South Florida universities, Matt strives to give back to the community that offered him his humble start. Over the years he has created many workshops within the community in an effort to spread awareness about the necessity of estate planning.

- Q. In Florida, if one prints POA and will forms from the Internet, has them notarized, are they legal documents?
- A: Pursuant to Florida law in place on 03/07/19, to answer your question as it was literally written, the answer is NO - they are not legal documents. I strongly urge you not to print Power of Attorney and Will forms from the internet for signing and notarizing. Per the Florida Statutes, both sets of documents require specific types of witnesses and you didn't mention that the documents were witnessed and signed by the right people. Also, you may be choosing witnesses that may not make the...well, best witnesses, if later on your documents are challenged in court. Let's say that you did find the right types of witnesses required by the Florida Statutes and you did sign the forms in front ... Read More
