1 Questions Answered
- Q. How can I proceed with WCAB QME appointments in California?
- A: Answer depends on why you are wanting to use 2 QMEs. If both claims involve the same body part, the defense attorney would likely object.
If the issue can't be resolved, you may set a hearing before a WCAB judge.
If you don't have an attorney yet, you should get one to help level the playing field against the insurance co. attorney. WC attorneys work on contingency and usually get 15% of the settlement. A very small price for applicants to pay in exchange for maximizing their work comp benefits.
