Michael O. Alfera
Weinberg Gonser LLP
As a litigator, I thrive in crafting compelling arguments and case strategies for clients engaged in business and commercial disputes on both sides of the 'v.' Before joining Weinberg Gonser, I served as a judicial law clerk, initially for the Los Angeles Superior Court and subsequently for the Honorable Otis D. Wright II, District Judge in the District Court for the Central District of California. My experience in supporting multiple judges has honed my ability to analyze cases from a judicial perspective, which is crucial in securing favorable outcomes for our clients.
I graduated top of my class at Southwestern Law School and was part of the winning team at the 2018 Wagner Labor and Employment Law national moot court competition in New York City. I am also an active thought leader; I regularly deliver continuing education courses on legal writing and other subjects, and in April 2025, I presented a TEDx talk at TEDxSouthwestern titled "Beyond the Billable Hour: How Tech and AI are Transforming Legal Work."
Outside the legal sphere, I am a classically trained pianist, composer, and conductor. I previously accompanied the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles and founded the L.A. Choral Lab, a local performing arts nonprofit committed to advancing the modern choral art form.
