MONTE KULIGOWSKI IS A VIRGINIA ATTORNEY who concentrates in DUI / DWI, reckless driving, felonies, misdemeanors and serious personal injury cases. He has handled speeding tickets to murder cases.
Monte has been defending clients throughout Virginia since 1997. He has won cases at every judicial level of the Commonwealth, including the Virginia Supreme Court (See, White v. Commonwealth, 267 Va. 96 (2004)).
Attorney Kuligowski is also admitted to practice in federal District Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. He has won cases in both state and federal court. Over the years, he has gained experience with virtually every kind of DUI case, including elevated BAC, subsequent offense, felony, blood draw, watercraft and even an operating an aircraft under the influence case.
Monte's legal writings have been published in law journals by the law schools at Duke, Virginia, Richmond, Samford and St. John's. His article, "Rethinking DUI Law in Virginia," is published in Vol. 42, Issue 2 of the University of Richmond Law Review. His article, "A Critical Review of Gibson v. Commonwealth" is published in Vol. 29, No. 2 of the Justice System Journal, a peer-edited journal published by the National Center for State Courts. Monte has been interviewed and quoted by Virginia Lawyers Weekly and local media on landmark cases. His work is quoted in Wikipedia's section on the Equal Protection Clause of the U.S. Constitution.
Monte has represented almost every class of citizen, including enlisted military personnel, high ranking military officers, blue collar workers, white collar workers, law enforcement officers, professors and fellow attorneys.
