Nicholas J Dowgul
We Safeguard Your Professional License So You Can Get Back to Business
North Carolina Professional License Defense Attorney Nicholas Dowgul, or “Nick” as he prefers, began his legal career in 2008 in the Public Defender’s Office in Harrison County, Mississippi.
In this position, Dowgul found his passion for the litigation of cases. Being in a courtroom felt like home to him.
While he loves the mental battle within a courtroom, he believes resolving cases outside the courtroom is typically in the client’s best interests when it’s a valid option.
However, when the time calls for it and resolution measures outside of the courtroom have been exhausted, Dowgul is well-prepared to obtain the best results for his clients in contested situations.
Dowgul made his way to North Carolina after visiting the Tar Heel State in 2010. He fell in love with the city of Raleigh and became a state resident shortly after.
Dowgul’s legal career has involved helping clients with a spectrum of services, including family law, child custody, equitable distribution, child support, post-separation support, alimony, divorce, civil litigation, traffic citations, and landlord/tenant disputes.
In 2019, Dowgul established North State Law Firm with the focus of helping North Carolina Professionals defend their licenses and certifications in front of North Carolina Licensing Boards and State Agencies.
As a North Carolina licensed professional himself, Dowgul understands how allegations against a license can affect not only one’s reputation but also the ability to earn a livelihood and support their family.
Dowgul is dedicated and passionate about helping North Carolina professionals obtain the best results possible when facing licensing issues where they can get back to the career they love and worked so hard to build.
His experience with licensed professionals started very early in life, as he is the son of a professional engineer who has over 40 years of experience in the field.
