Claimed Lawyer Profile
Biography

I am Paul C. Meyers, ESQ., a criminal defense attorney deeply committed to understanding the law and defending my clients. I received my JD from the University of Tulsa in 2011, where I was an editor for the Law Review, and I hold a BA from Tulane University, earned in 2006. With nearly 15 years of legal experience, I have built a robust practice grounded in significant trial experience.

My legal career commenced in Illinois after being admitted to the bar in 2011. Over 11 years in Chicago, I honed my trial skills, starting as an Assistant Public Defender in Kane County from 2011 to 2017. During this period, I served as first chair in 28 jury trials, securing 18 "Not Guilty" verdicts and achieving over 146 case dismissals. Later, I joined Robert Callahan & Associates as a Lead Litigating Attorney, where I continued to accumulate jury trial victories from 2017 to 2022. My notable achievements include a "Not Guilty" verdict in a Cannabis Trafficking felony. I also have extensive experience in Pardons & Clemency, securing multiple pardons/clemency petitions granted by the Governor.

In 2021, I relocated my practice to Texas, where I was admitted to the bar and established The Meyers Firm, PLLC, in October 2022. Since then, I have been actively involved in the local legal community, trying jury trials and advocating diligently for my clients.

I am passionate about studying the law and continually update my legal knowledge, keeping abreast of new developments in caselaw and statutes. I have also contributed to prominent journals, sharing my knowledge and insights. My extensive trial experience, relentless dedication, and strong advocacy skills make me a reliable choice for anyone facing challenges within the criminal justice system. I am excited about the dynamic legal community and the complex cases that Texas offers, a place where "Justice & Your Rights" mean something!
