Paul Sterbcow
Lewis, Kullman, Sterbcow & Abramson, LLC
I am the managing member of Lewis, Kullman, Sterbcow & Abramson, LLC, and I have dedicated my career to representing those harmed by some of the most consequential maritime disasters in U.S. history. I was selected by the federal court to serve on the Plaintiffs' Steering Committee in the Deepwater Horizon litigation, where I acted as co-lead trial counsel in the pivotal liability trial. More recently, I was appointed Plaintiffs' Co-Liaison Counsel in the SEACOR Power disaster litigation.
I am honored to be a Fellow of both the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, recognitions reserved for a small fraction of attorneys worldwide. These distinctions reflect not only my experience but also the trust placed in me to lead in high-stakes cases where lives, livelihoods, and entire industries are at risk.
My practice is built on the belief that success in complex maritime litigation requires more than deep knowledge of admiralty law. It demands relentless preparation, strategic trial advocacy, and the ability to manage cases of massive scale and complexity. I have earned a reputation for taking on powerful entities and achieving justice for those who depend on the civil justice system.
Beyond the courtroom, I have served as President of the Louisiana Association for Justice and as a member of the Board of Governors for the American Association for Justice. Through these roles, I continue to advocate for the rights of individuals and the integrity of the civil justice system. At my firm, I lead with the same principles that guide my practice: preparation, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to accountability and justice.
