Peng Shao
Mr. Shao specializes in complex financial litigation, including class actions and mass arbitrations aimed at protecting the average consumer. He leverages his robust legal experience and technical insight to deliver personalized and tenacious advocacy for R23’s clients.
Peng previously worked at a national law firm based on the East Coast, specializing in consumer financial litigation in defense of Fortune 50 corporations and bulge bracket banks. Before his time in BigLaw, Peng practiced at a leading class action firm in San Francisco, where he gained experience litigating complex class matters on behalf of plaintiffs concerning consumer protection, antitrust, financial services, investor protection against securities fraud, and civil rights class violations. Peng has also collaborated with governmental entities such as the SEC for securities fraud investigations and the CFPB.
Peng is a graduate of UC Davis School of Law, and earned a bachelor of science degree in Biological Engineering from University of Kentucky. During and after law school, Peng earned invaluable experience learning behind the federal bench in the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of California and in the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Ohio, as a judicial extern and judicial law clerk. Peng is also a published scientist in the Journal of BioChemistry, and has extensive professional experience in the medical industry.
