Peter Crane Canfield
Peter Canfield has over thirty years experience in complex civil and criminal trial and appellate litigation in courts across the country. He has served as a prosecutor in the United States Justice Department and as a Deputy District Attorney in the State of Alabama. For the past twenty five years, he has been a partner in private practice focused on protecting the constitutional rights of his clients, including the day-to-day representation of reporters, authors, newspapers, broadcasters and other media organizations involved in exposing wrongdoing by and against the government. Peter obtained his law degree from Yale Law School in 1979 and has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America since 1993.
