Peter T. Commons
Representing Heads of School and Independent Schools nationwide
Pete represents independent schools as general counsel. He also represents heads of independent schools as personal counsel, negotiating employment agreements and advising on leadership issues. Pete has negotiated hundreds of contracts for heads of school on behalf of both schools and heads. Pete speaks regularly to school groups, including heads of school and board members, on school leadership and contract issues. Pete also represents individuals and families in estate planning, assists individuals and institutions with real estate transactions, and counsels fiduciaries of estates, trusts, and institutions.
Pete earned his law degree from Temple University's Beasley School of Law (J.D. 2005), and graduated from Middlebury College (B.A. 2001). Pete has served on various non-profit boards including the Germantown Relief Society, Awbury Arboretum (vice president), The Miquon School (chair), the Mt. Airy Business Improvement District (vice president), and Wyck.
Pete is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New York.
