As a corporate & intellectual property attorney, I counsel clients on various technology and intellectual property matters. Prior to law school, I worked in various industries including finance, risk management and consumer electronics. I then pursued my JD/MBA as a CLEO fellow of the Indiana Supreme Court. After my first year in law school, I worked as a summer associate in the Office of General Counsel at Duke Energy in Indianapolis. During my second year, I interned at the Federal Trade Commission Bureau of Consumer Affairs in Chicago. That summer, I interned at the United States Attorneys Office, Tax Division in San Francisco. Finally, during my last year of law school, I externed in the chambers of United States District Court Federal Magistrate Judge Christopher Nuechterlein. Drawing on over 15 years of combined business and legal experience, I am able to provide my clients with business solutions to legal problems.

The late Justice Manuel served as a California Supreme Court associate justice from 1977-1981, following 23 years with the California Office of the Attorney General, the last three of which were as chief assistant attorney general. Indiana Supreme Court Conference for Legal Education Opportunity (CLEO)
The Indiana Conference for Legal Education Opportunity (ICLEO) was established at the urging of former Chief Justice Randall T. Shepard by the Indiana General Assembly. In 1997, Governor Frank O’Bannon signed the law giving funding to ICLEO (check out the Indiana Code to read the law). ICLEO’s purpose then and now is to help college students in need pursue a law degree in Indiana. The ICLEO Summer Institute is held annually to introduce new ICLEO Fellows to the program. The first Summer Institute was held in the summer of 1997 at Indiana University’s Bloomington Law School. In 1997, 30 students enrolled in the first ICLEO Summer Institute and 25 students went on to graduate from law school, representing all of Indiana’s law schools. Since 1997, 500 students have successfully completed the Summer Institute and over 350 have graduated from law school.
