Rebecca Skeeles Jacobs
Rebecca Skeeles Jacobs is an accomplished attorney and business consultant. Rebecca focuses her law practice in the areas of business law and consulting, real estate, construction, contracts, mergers, sales and acquisitions of businesses, estate planning, probate, and equine law. She has ample experience in litigation, contracts, transactions, and negotiations. Rebecca is a certified mediator with the Ohio Supreme Court.
Rebecca's experience in starting and running a business for almost 30 years is invaluable in advising her existing clients. She has an acute understanding of their view from a business ownership standpoint, specifically from the inception of a business to building it over the years. Clients appreciate her direct and friendly approach, honesty and hard work ethic. They also appreciate her common sense in analyzing returns on investment in legal and litigation matters. She advises many clients as general counsel because the best way to address legal issues is to prevent them from happening. Her passion is protecting her clients.
She started and ran the construction company, Skeeles Manufacturing Inc., with her father, in 1991, which they sold in 2020. The business was a premier custom countertop fabricator and retail fixture manufacturing business in central Ohio. She acted as Vice President. Rebecca went to law school at night while helping run the business daily. Upon graduation from the Capital University Law School, she served as General Counsel and handled the sale of the business and real estate.
Rebecca also served as a professional public speaker for Casemaker from 2013-2021, a legal research platform. She has traveled the country speaking to state bar associations, law firms, government organizations, and law schools. Rebecca worked for the Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA) from 2008- 2013, where she served as the face of the OSBA, promoting their services to the Ohio legal community, including Casemaker and In-House CLE programs.
