Robert Andretz
Chapman Law Group
Rob Andretz is passionate about helping his clients. Rob has had the honor and privilege of being licensed to practice law since 2003, and he is happy to put his education and experience in the fields of law, biology, and psychology to work for health professionals in need of his help. Rob enjoys being able to be a light in the darkness for those who are facing some of the toughest challenges of their lives.
Rob primarily devotes his time to helping health professionals accused of violating state and federal laws in criminal cases in state and federal courts throughout the state of Michigan, professional licensing matters in Lansing, and DEA matters throughout the United States.
Before joining Chapman Law Group, Rob defended clients charged with drunk driving or drugged driving in Michigan district and circuit courts in more than 40 counties across the state, taking many of those cases to jury trial. Among those clients, Rob represented many doctors, nurses, and other licensed healthcare professionals charged with drunk driving and understood the importance of counseling them on both the legal and “collateral” consequences of a criminal conviction.
Rob also practiced as a solo attorney in East Lansing, Michigan, serving his clients primarily in the areas of criminal defense and family law. As a trained mediator, Rob volunteered his time as a civil mediator and a domestic relations mediator. He also worked for two years at the Third Circuit Court in downtown Detroit as a Research Law Clerk, researching and drafting proposed opinions for circuit court judges on topics ranging from antitrust to zoning.
Rob thoroughly enjoyed law school and graduated cum laude from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2003 with concentrations in litigation and international law. While in law school, he honed his editing skills while serving as the Casenotes Editor on the Board of Editors of the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review and studied abroad in Australia and New Zealand.
