I am the senior partner and shareholder at the firm, focusing my practice on estate planning and succession planning. I counsel individuals and business owners on various aspects of estate and wealth transfer planning. My experience includes sophisticated tax planning techniques such as dynasty trusts, life insurance trust planning, charitable trust planning, family limited partnerships, and limited liability companies. Additionally, I am well-versed in probate, trust administration, and the formation of private foundations. I have been licensed to practice law in Michigan since 1981.
My transactional experience is extensive, particularly in the areas of commercial and residential real estate and business law.
I am both a CPA and an attorney, with thirty years of experience in public accounting and legal practice. I graduated with honors from Wayne State University in 1973 and practiced public accounting from 1973-1978 with Coopers & Lybrand, a major international firm. I became certified as a CPA in 1976. I attended law school at Wayne State University, graduating cum laude, participating in Law Review, and receiving the Gold Key Certificate for superior achievement during the 1980-1981 academic year. Post-graduation, I have held multiple positions in law firms, including shareholder, Board of Director member, and Chief Financial Officer.
