Business attorney who provides superior legal leadership for established companies, as well as startup endeavors. Institutes policies and procedures to ensure compliance with municipal, state and federal laws and regulations. Family attorney who provides compassionate legal guidance for empty nesters, as well as young couples. Focuses on ensuring a benevolent future for everyone involved regardless of the situational obstacles. I pride myself on understanding a family’s needs and responding promptly, efficiently and effectively.
Experience in additional areas of law, including residential, administrative and estate planning. Limited-scope representation is when you and a lawyer agree that the lawyer will handle some parts of your case and you will handle others. This is different from more traditional arrangements between lawyers and clients where a lawyer is hired to provide legal services on all aspects of a case, from start to finish. Limited-scope representation is sometimes called “unbundling."
Allowing me to evaluate, organize and draft your small claims or conciliation court complaint or response would be a wise investment. A well polished complaint or response will not only provide the judge a solid foundation to rule in your favor, but a detailed outline on which to base your oral argument.

- Q. Can I legally acquire ownership of abandoned unbuildable lots in California?
- A: That is an interesting question. Unfortunately, I doubt many (if any) attorneys have experience with situations you describe. It seems unusual these parcels would have value 200 years ago, but no value in modern day Santa Cruz. One of many questions I would ask is: were these parcels once part of a larger parcels? I would recommend speaking to attorney before you approach the county. Even if you are able to claim to land for free, there will assuredly be properly taxes from that point forward. There may even be back taxes owed. I'm just saying. My best to you. Rob Kane California Attorney Municipal Law.
- Q. Need legal review of divorce documents before court filing.
- A: Yes, a lawyer can review these documents as soon as possible to ensure everything is in order before submission. An compentant attorney's review will be thorough and more comprehensive than a freelance paralegal's basic organization of your documents. As a solo practitioner, I rely on freelance paralegals familiar with a specific county to make sure the filings are clerk of the court friendly so they aren't rejected for some arcane local rule or idiosyncrasies. Paralegals are surprisingly expensive. In conclusion, you will need to call around to find an attorney that will work for you. Further, I greatly appreciate the time, effort, patience and smiles of those who work in the ... Read More
- Q. How can I pursue full custody of my child in California due to safety concerns?
- A: You should already have full custody if you are the mother and there are no custody orders. Although, obtaining court orders as to visitation and support would likely be in your and the child's best interest. My best to you Rob Kane California Family Law Attorney.
