Q. Can I get compensation for working in a borax mine and ultimately being diagnosed with lung fibrosis?
A: Hi there, Yes, you definitely can have a workers' compensation claim due to this industrial exposure. You will definitely want to consult with an attorney who is experienced at proving occupational disease cases.
Q. what can I do about a Worker's Compensation case that I had we went to court in September but I haven't received my mone
A: Hi there,

From your question, it sounds like the communication between you and your attorney is not very good. You should have a complete understanding of what went on at the hearing, what money you can expect to receive, and why you are receiving it. You should also definitely be cashing your temporary disability checks. Those checks are tax free. But the main thing is you need to have a good relationship with your attorney. I would start with following up with them, and if that doesn't get you anywhere you can consult with another attorney for free. Best of luck.
Q. Can I change my lawyer?
A: Hi there,

Yes, as the client, you have the absolute right to change lawyers at any time. Your concerns about your financial situation and medical recovery are legitimately, and should be taken seriously by your current attorney. I would start by having a conversation with them, and not with a paralegal or case manager. If your concerns are addressed and your needs are met, then great. If not, then all attorneys in the workers' compensation space offer free consultations.

Best of luck!
