I am a partner in the Miami office and the Head of the Creditors’ Rights and Bankruptcy practice. My career is marked by a wealth of experience in consumer and corporate restructuring as well as complex litigation matters. I skillfully handle the intricate legal landscapes of bankruptcy, debt restructuring, insolvency, and creditors’ rights. Recognized as a trailblazer in my field, I have successfully represented a diverse range of clients—including individual and corporate debtors, unsecured and secured creditors, institutional lenders, and trustees—across Florida, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. My work also extends internationally, particularly within the Latin community, where I provide guidance and representation in matters involving Hispanic clients, creditors from Canada and the UK, and sectors like energy, commodities, financial services, and crypto data centers. My skills include comprehensive contract analysis, intricate negotiation workouts, mediation, and sophisticated litigation strategy.
My deep knowledge of commercial and business international arbitration, coupled with my understanding of technology and information science, enables me to offer strategic guidance in restructuring, operational consulting, and credit and financial management. I work closely with senior management and business teams across development, marketing, corporate finance, and operations to ensure risk mitigation and proper legal representation in complex financial situations, including evidencing financial insolvency.
I am also well-versed in the implications of security interests and the impact of industry-wide events, which I use to optimize value creation for my clients. I draft and negotiate critical agreements and develop and implement strategies to maximize transaction value while minimizing potential negative impacts on company assets and operations.
