
Thomas L. Hunker
Mr. Hunker is a Board Certified Specialist in Appellate Practice and has served as lead counsel on hundreds of appeals and trial level cases. He is peer review rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell and rated 10 out of 10 on Avvo.com. Mr. Hunker has extensive legal writing, oral advocacy, and case management experience. He previously handled appeals and litigation cases as a solo practitioner and as in-house appellate counsel for United Automobile Insurance Company. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Hunker served as a judicial law clerk for the Florida Supreme Court and as a legislative intern for the Florida House of Representatives. Mr. Hunker earned his law degree magna cum laude from the Florida State University College of Law and is a member of the Order of the Coif. While in law school, he made the Dean’s List every semester, was awarded several scholarships, and received book awards for achieving the highest grade in several classes. Mr. Hunker also served as Editor in Chief of the Business Law Review, President of Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity, Senator for the Student Government Association, Member of the American Inns of Court, and a Research Assistant for two professors. Mr. Hunker earned his undergraduate degree in business from Florida State University. While in college, Mr. Hunker served as the Vice President of Theta Chi Fraternity and was an active Member of the Catholic Student Union. Mr. Hunker is a member of the Broward County Bar Association, the Dade County Bar Association, and the Board of Directors of the Weston Bar Association. Mr. Hunker also serves as an attorney for Mission United providing legal services to military veterans.
