William Harry Hunt
Mr. Hunt has been a trial attorney in Ohio for over forty-four years. He has appeared before the Ohio Supreme Court, numerous Ohio courts of appeals, and trial courts at the county and municipal level throughout the state of Ohio as well as before the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio. Mr. Hunt’s litigation experience extends to commercial, construction, personal injury, wrongful death, domestic relations (family law), collections, contracts, probate litigation and public utility matters. As the developing area of collaborative law has grown as an alternative to litigated divorce, Mr. Hunt has re-focused his divorce/family law practice in this area. Mr. Hunt is an ardent believer in the concept that interest-based negotiation is vastly superior to traditional divorce litigation. Mr. Hunt is an experienced arbitrator, mediator, neutral evaluator, guardian ad litem and parenting coordinator.
Mr. Hunt earned a Bachelor of Science in biology and a Master of Science in industrial administration from Purdue University in 1969 and 1970 respectively. Mr. Hunt graduated from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law of Cleveland State University magna cum laude in 1975. Since being admitted to the bar Mr. Hunt has trained in collaborative law, general and divorce mediation, as a guardian ad litem and parenting coordinator. Mr. Hunt serves as an approved Guardian ad litem and Parenting Coordinator and neutral evaluator for the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Division of Domestic Relations.
