William J. Brotherton

I have been practicing law for 30 years. I obtained my law degree from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in 1994 and graduated in the top 10% of my class. I am licensed to practice in Texas and North Dakota and in all federal courts in Texas and North Dakota plus the Supreme Court of the United States. Before I obtained my law degree, I worked as an environmental engineer for 10 years and before that I was a brakeman/conductor for the Burlington Northern Railroad and a trainmaster for the Colorado & Southern Railway. I wrote about my railroad experiences in the book "Burlington Northern Adventures: Railroading in the Days of the Caboose" (2004, South Platte Press).

I practice in the areas of insurance defense, land-use, environmental, business and commercial disputes. I serve as the Principal of the Brotherton Law Firm which has four attorneys including myself and my oldest daughter Shawn Curry. The firm practices in insurance defense, business law, family law, real estate, land-use and many other areas.
