I am an intellectual property and business attorney in Denver. While much of my experience involves civil litigation and business transactions, my primary interests are in patent prosecution, copyright and trademark protection, and intellectual property litigation. Additionally, I assist my clients with contract negotiations, liability assessment, and business strategy planning.

I am a trial and appellate specialist handling criminal and personal injury cases, both trials and appeals. I graduated from the University of Denver and the University of Colorado Law School with honors including Phi Beta Kappa, Order of the Coif, and Law Review. Charles is a former Deputy D.A., Assistant U.S. Attorney, and was the head of Denver City Attorney Office Litigation section. While in the U.S. Attorney's office, Mr. Torres tried numerous white collar criminal cases, many of which received media attention, such as the "Cattle King" case in which he successfully prosecuted a meat packing plant sending spoiled meat to schools throughout the country.
