I have over 35 years of experience in multiple court systems in the Chicago metro area. My practice includes contested matters as well as transactions in the area of estate planning, trusts, wills, trust administration and real estate closings.

I am a 1973 graduate of Loyola University, Chicago and a 1980 graduate of Northern IL University college of law.

I represent employers and management, professional and executive employees in labor and employment matters, including: negotiating and drafting employment, severance and restrictive covenant agreements; wage-hour disputes; and whistleblower and EEO complaints. I also mediate employment disputes, manage workplace conflict and conduct sexual harassment and other third-party investigations in the workplace. I have a unique perspective because I have represented unions, companies and individuals in my 38 years of practice.

Paul S. Steinhofer is an experienced civil and criminal first chair litigator who has tried numerous cases to verdict. His clients represent a broad spectrum of insurance companies and corporations for whom he has provided defense litigation representation in cases involving catastrophic loss, product liability, toxic tort litigation and construction litigation. One of his major clients is Siemens.

Some of Paul’s notable litigation successes have involved cases defending clients against claims of asbestos and benzene exposure. I am a Securities Regulation attorney, having worked at the SEC for nearly ten years. My practice is focused on investment adviser and broker-dealer compliance. To that end my practice involves counseling clients on securities -related issues, conducting mock SEC audits, training registered personnel on various issues involving SEC law, responding to SEC and FINRA deficiency letters, investigations and legal actions and handling state securities law matters.
