I focus on representing property owners in first-party insurance disputes, which include cases related to hurricanes, fires, water damage, and mold claims. Before my time at Kanner & Pintaluga, I gained experience as an insurance defense attorney. My work primarily involved general liability practice where I defended a wide array of insurance defense cases. These included automobile accidents, construction litigation, negligent security, and premises liability. I earned my B.A. in Legal Studies with a minor in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida. Following that, I pursued my J.D. at Nova Southeastern University.

I currently hold the position of Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel at Kanner & Pintaluga. Alexis Altman is a partner in the Firm’s Property Damage Practice. Alexis practices in first party property damage law where she specializes in representing homeowners and business owners in property damage and coverage disputes throughout the state Before Kanner & Pintaluga, Alexis practiced at a plaintiff’s firm in Miami where she specialized in first party property matters.
