After growing up in the Pittsburgh area, I attended Penn State, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree. I then attended Capital University Law School and worked with William J. Clark & Associates for 10 years. Since that time, I have practiced as a sole practitioner, currently located in Gahanna.

I started law school while a Member of Technical Staff at Bell Laboratories. An engineering education and background did not help with law school, but I find that many engineering principles, diligent analysis, and problem-solving thinking help with actual law practice.

It is important to move a case forward after a conviction has been affirmed on appeal. Although the Ohio Supreme Court does not accept all criminal appeals, appealing to it will exhaust state remedies to allow federal review of constitutional claims. The time limit to file a jurisdictional appeal to the Ohio Supreme Court is 45 days from the date of the appellate decision.
