Mr. McGlew is active in all aspects of the McGlew an d Tuttle, P.C. patent prosecution and litigation practice. Mr. McGlew has been involved in prosecuting many patent applications across a broad range of technologies, including the mechanical, electronic and computer arts, since he joined private practice. Mr. McGlew was a Patent Examiner with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and has been registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office since 1986.

I began my career as a legal administrator for a Chapter 13 bankruptcy trustee. That experience required me to evaluate cases and claims from the perspective of a court neutral and examine the strengths and weaknesses of the respective positions of the multiple parties to a bankruptcy proceeding. It also required me to develop an in-depth knowledge of how cases proceed when they are governed almost exclusively by a complex statutory scheme. I advise on a broad range of copyright trademark, licensing, trade secret, right of publicity, privacy, corporate transactional and litigation matters. Prior to opening my firm, I worked on intellectual property and general corporate issues at an academic publishing house. I also clerked with Chief Judge Khalida Rachid Kahn at the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda. Before I entered law, I performed bass and taught music.
